News From the Pediatrician

The lab test results were good, but the pediatrician did not understand why they only ran the tests they did. She said that if they were looking for her nutrition quality, there were better tests that could tell them more. She decided that they need to be done so we went to the lab to have more blood drawn. Unfortunately they had to do it twice, because Olivia's vein rolled after she got the needle in, and she couldn't get good flow after that. The one vial needs to be sent to Bethesda to run the test, so were waiting again. Not my favorite part, but if the extra time now will help us go down the right path, I'm all for not having to backtrack later.

On a super positive note, Olivia's weight is back up to 45 lbs!! She has gained all but 2 of her 10 lbs. back from her big surgery back in April 2009. Eight lbs. is a lot for Liv.

More when something unfolds...
