We have time to get things organized at home before the pre-op and surgery, but there are a few details I wish were worked out. Olivia is to receive a lot of new equipment to replace most of what she's outgrown. We were told it'd be here by Christmas, but it's not here yet. I'm discouraged that it's taken so long.
Therapy will change after Liv's surgery. We may need to do physical therapy more often, or there may be a different focus. I will ask what the doctor anticipates at the pre-op.
Thankfully we have a place for the fish and the dog to go already. Thanks, Windy & Camille! Hopefully you'll still be my friends after hosting our pets through all of this! j/k By the way I'd like to drop them off on the 14th before Dave gets off of work, if possible. Please let me know!
I'm working to devise a plan to educate Jack & Robin while at the hospital w/ Liv. It will be interesting to see how the home schooling effort goes when someone else has to step in to that role. I know I have support when I'm ready for it, and that is very helpful for me.
My mom and Dave's mom are willing to help when/ however we need them. It is such a blessing that they are both 'retired'. Jack & Robin will be glad for the company!
I think it's amazing the scope of people that are/will be reading this blog. I know there are several pastors, church friends, family members, friends of family and old friends. I wish I had one of those counters on here. A message board would be great too. Any comments/messages that are left on here, I will share with Olivia. Also please feel free to e-mail me at dsojrevans@gmail.com.
I found a really sweet picture of Olivia from last Christmas I wanted to share with you.
Have a great weekend. I'll probably post again on Monday, after I call to see what the hospital visitation policies are.
Our Prayers are with all of you! Wish we could be there to help with whatever loose ends are left just to take that off of your shoulders. Where will she have the surgery?
