I spoke with Olivia's Nurse Case Manager and told her about Olivia's weight loss. She told me about a product, similar to Pediasure, but with more calories/can (Boost Essentials for Kids). Our insurance covers the cost of both products, so we can request the Boost to help her gain some weight.
I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday a.m. to discuss the change with the Pediatrician. He will need to put in a referral to the insurance so that they can order the new stuff. Hopefully it will make a difference, and she'll gain the weight back, possibly a little more.
For the record, Liv weighed 47 lbs. before surgery, 40.8 lbs. the day the cast came off, and 39.8 today. Her appetite has not been good, but I didn't realize that she had lost more weight in the last week. :(
