Today after our church service the Senior Pastor as well as the Congregational Care Pastor prayed over Olivia. We were in the small chapel, which was filled by friends and church members who wanted to pray for her as well. Olivia was presented with a prayer shawl that was knitted especially for her. To borrow from the prayer today: "It is good to be part of a church that really believes in the power of prayer."
I know that prayers for Olivia extend beyond Leonardtown, MD. I am grateful for everyone who is praying for Olivia. I can not say that enough. God hears our prayers.
She will have the shawl with her in the hospital, as well as the shawl that was knitted by our church in Brunswick. I will update probably again Wednesday afternoon after I talk to the hospital to get the time for surgery.
